We offer in-person classes, online classes, and a mixture of in-person and online classes. ​

This interactive online course covers essential information on labor and more and highlights ways partners can help. You’ll also get a sense of what labor is really like as you watch several birth stories. You’ll even have an opportunity to create your own birth plan!

Includes access in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German,  Chinese, Arabic, and Japanese.

Online & In-Person Class
(2 Hour In-Person Class)

With this class option you get access to the Online Class materials and have the opportunity to learn 1:1 from our skilled prenatal educator during the in-person class.

These in-person classes are scheduled as needed, so please complete the form at the link below to register and schedule your in-person class. 

Childbirth Online Class

Allow 6-8 hours to complete.

Can’t fit a childbirth class into your busy schedule or prefer to learn online at your own pace?

 

We’ll bring the class to you!

 

Consider the Understanding Birth eClass your go-to guide for answers you can trust on childbirth. This interactive online course covers essential information on labor and more and highlights ways partners can help. You’ll also get a sense of what labor is really like as you watch several birth stories. You’ll even have an opportunity to create your own birth plan!

You can access the eClass from any computer or mobile device with an Internet connection. Allow 6-8 hours to complete.

Memorial Hospital is NOT a Birthing Center

  • As a community service, Memorial Hospital provides birthing classes in-person and online free to community members in Randolph County, Illinois and the surrounding counties (Monroe, Washington, Perry, Jackson, IL as well as Perry and Ste. Genevieve Counties in MO.)

  • This service is provided as a supplement to the services that you receive with your chosen Birthing Provider and Center.
