Auxiliary Raises Funds for Centrella Smart+ Bed


Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s 2022 Tree of Remembrance fund drive has raised a total of $6,636.80. The Auxiliary is able to assist the hospital in purchasing needed equipment for various departments through the community's generous donations/memorials. Funds collected this year were used to purchase a Centrella Smart+ Bed. The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Board would like to thank those who donated to the Tree of Remembrance!


This bed helps meet the changing need of healthcare facilities and delivers elevated care through optimized patient safety, enhanced patient satisfaction and advanced caregiver-focused technology. The new bed will feature an in-bed scale for patients with a weight range of 70 - 500 lbs., motion activated nightlight, patient storage in the siderail, USB charger, obstacle detection system and LCD touchscreen. Cost for this bed is $13,587.63.

Mardell Granger, Auxiliary President, was present at the February Board meeting. She reported on the past year of Auxiliary events and also spoke of future plans of the Auxiliary. Mardell was able to present a check to Board Chairman, Tom Search, for the purchase of the new Smart+ Bed. The Auxiliary is able to donate this money from funds collected by the Tree of Remembrance, Gift Shop, and various fundraisers throughout the year.
