Memorial Hospital of Chester is proud to announce that we have been ranked a 5 Star HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems), critical access hospital by our patients.
Over the years, Memorial has listened to the feedback from our patient surveys and has worked hard to ensure all levels of care are always above average. Through the HCAHPS Survey, patients are asked to rank aspects of their hospital experience on “how often” specific points of care are addressed. Surveyed patients at Memorial have consistently expressed that the following needs were always met: How well nurses and doctors communicate with patients. How responsive hospital staff are to patients’ needs. How well the staff communicates with patients about new medicines. Whether key information is provided at discharge. How well patients understand the type of care they will need after leaving the hospital.
